Pop superstar Ariana Grande, as well as many other of the pop music industry's heavy hitters all took the stage earlier today to perform a benefit concert, with all proceeds going to those affected by the May 22 attack at Grande's Manchester performance.
Joining Ariana Grande were Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Pharrell, Katy Perry, Take That, The Black Eyed Peas, Usher and more. The event, which sold out in 6 minutes, was live streamed from Ariana Grande's Facebook page, where there alone, the superstar raised over $300,000 by accepting donations online.
The event featured joint performances from Grande and Miley Cyrus, Cyrus and Pharrell, and Grande and The Black Eyed Peas, amongst many other breathtaking performances from every artist there.
Though security was obviously high for this event, aside from the money raised, this event also showed that as an industry, we're not going to let the terrorists win. They acted with hate, and we responded with love. Ariana expressed her condolences, and put on the show that she believed, her fans lost would have wanted.
